The Library is accepting applications for a full-time Fiscal Administrative Assistant. Working under the direction of the Chief Fiscal Officer, this position involves performing a wide variety of tasks providing clerical support to the Fiscal Department.  

Responsibilities: (1) Counts, reconciles and balances daily fines/miscellaneous money. Enters totals into database, prints summary reports and receipts. (2) Sorts and distributes interdepartmental and US mail. (3) Maintains various records by sorting and filing. Compiles copier statistics and reconciles to billing. (4) Provides administrative and clerical support to the Chief Fiscal Officer, Executive Director, Deputy Fiscal Officer and occasionally to other administrative personnel. (5) Assists with processing payroll (6) Acts as back-up to the Deputy Fiscal Officer, as needed, to assure continued day-to-day fiscal operations of the library.

Hours: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week.

Compensation: The starting rate of pay is $14.97 per hour with an excellent fringe benefit package which includes a pension plan with the Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS).


Requirements

Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred. High school diploma with 2 years of relevant work experience may be considered. Experience working with computers – preferably Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Outlook, and Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel. A minimum of one year of payroll software experience. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
