I.T. Support Technician

The Thiel College Information Technology Division is currently accepting applications for the position of I.T. Support Technician.
The I.T. Support Technician provides technical support for computing equipment, software and other technology related items for all Thiel College constituents. The selected candidate must possess the ability to troubleshoot highly technical hardware and software issues (by telephone or in-person) in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate is also responsible for assuring campus constituents who call the Solution Center are provided timely first and second level phone support. Performs hardware troubleshooting, repairs and replacements. Creates and deploys software images for MS Windows and Mac OS. Assists with maintaining an inventory of computer hardware and software. Works with the System Administrator to troubleshoot network and server issues as needed.
High school diploma and A+ certification required. Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred, equivalent experience considered. Significant experience working with hardware repair, MS Windows and Office, and OS imaging. Some server and networking experience, especially in a higher education environment is highly desirable. Strong customer service experience is highly desired.
Candidate must have a strong commitment to serving in an academic environment with a demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Candidate must be able to multi-task and maintain confidentiality. Strong written and verbal skills are essential.
