ISO Coordinator

Axion Power Battery Manufacturing Company is a leading developer of advanced lead acid carbon battery technologies, energy storage systems and frequency regulation systems. We are seeking to fill an ISO Coordinator position at the New Castle, PA facility.

This position has the following responsibilities:

  • Lead ISO Internal Auditor
    • Schedule internal audits
    • Train auditors
    • Conduct system based internal audits
    • Document audit findings
    • Ensure appropriate actions are documented, recorded and completed
  • Act as the Company Management Representative
    • Schedule and chair management review meetings
    • Gather appropriate data for products and process conformity, customer satisfaction and audit results
    • Present data at management review meeting
    • Document and record minutes of management review meeting
    • Follow up to ensure that action items are completed
  • Chair material review board meetings when required
  • Maintain Corrective/Preventative Action procedures
    • Ensure that requests are filled out
    • Determine root cause of failure
    • Ensure appropriate actions are taken to eliminate non-conformances
    • Ensure that all requests are properly documented
  • Control of Electronic Doucmentation using in-house Software System
    • Update Level I, II and III documents electronically
    • Maintain proper documentation manuals on the production floor
  • Coordinate external ISO audits
  • Document continual improvement projects
  • Maintain ISO training matrix and provide new employee orientation as required
  • Perform evaluations of product and process conformity - maintain six sigma statistics for various production departments
  • Create and maintain Engineering Change Orders

Working conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment
  • Position works mainly within the plant environment
  • Machinery and tool operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protection, respirator and steel toe boots




Requirements to be considered for this position are:

  • Related University Degree or Technical Diploma
  • Experience with the Quality documentation process; document control, managing documents, records, forms, and work instructions
  • Experience with Lean or Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodologies. Green Belt would be a plus
  • ISO Certified Auditor
  • Complete understanding ISO 9001-2008; experience with other ISO standards may be a plus
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
